It was a great privilege to count George Sossenko as a friend 
of FFALB (Friends & Family of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade.) He was a member of VALB and fought against Franco in the Spanish Civil War when he was very young. We recall the joy of his company at reunions in Spain and in New York City. We extend deepest condolences to his wife Bernice (Birdie), his children and her family.

George died peacefully in a nursing home in Atlanta, GA, this afternoon.
